Each age group in children’s publishing requires a different skill set. If you don’t know the rules of the genre it can add to the number of redrafts. Here is a selection of services available, but please send me a message if you require help not listed here.

Picture Book Critique

Feedback on one picture book of up to 800 words and a short synopsis, looking at concept, voice, structure and comparison titles. (Please note there is a charge for re-reading amended texts depending on the level of revisions and feedback required.)

Feedback on opening chapters of up to 1500 words and a one page synopsis, looking at concept, voice and comparison titles.

Whole Chapter Book Critique

Full read for a chapter book (up to 15,000 words) looking at concept, voice, character, world building, structure and comparison titles.

Middle Grade Opening Critique

Feedback on opening three chapters (up to 4,000 words)and a one page synopsis, looking at concept, voice, character, world building and comparison titles.

Middle Grade Full Novel Critique

Feedback on a manuscript of up to 50,000 words looking at concept, voice, character, world building, structure and comparison titles.
